Community Outreach and Peer Support Services provides bilingual, certified peer support, advocacy, mentoring, and community resources for individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges across Oak Harbor and the surrounding areas of Ohio. Our team of Ohio-certified peer supporters brings more than five years of lived experience in behavioral health and recovery, and we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by phone, text, or in person.
Private, confidential sessions with a certified peer specialist who has lived through their own challenges and knows how to help you through yours.
Dedicated mentors who connect with young people on their own terms, building resilience and self-esteem through real, consistent relationships.
Support navigating the behavioral health system with someone by your side who helps you understand your options and find a clear path.
Getting started is as simple as picking up the phone or sending a text — our lines are open 24/7, and a certified peer supporter will always be the one to answer. If you or a family member are more comfortable communicating in Spanish, we have bilingual mentors available and will connect you with the right person from the start. From that first conversation, we listen to what you are going through and connect you with the services that fit your situation, whether that means one-on-one peer support, group sessions, mentoring for your family, or help accessing community resources.
There is no clinical intake process and no waiting list. We do ask that the individuals we work with are committed to sobriety or willing to pursue it as part of their support journey, because everything we do is built on that shared accountability. Your peer supporter works with you to set meaningful goals at your own pace, checks in regularly, and adjusts your support as your needs change. If transportation is a barrier, we can help with that too.
Community Outreach and Peer Support Services is an Ohio Peer Supporter Certified behavioral health organization providing licensed peer support, advocacy, mentoring, and community resources to individuals and families across Oak Harbor and surrounding communities in Ohio. Our team brings more than five years of combined experience in peer support and recovery, with bilingual Spanish-speaking mentors, dedicated youth mentors, and licensed family and children's peer specialists on staff.
We started Community Outreach and Peer Support Services because we know what it feels like to need someone who truly understands. Every member of our team carries lived experience alongside professional certification, and that combination shapes everything we do. We are not here to talk at you from behind a desk. We are here because we have walked this road ourselves, and we believe no one should have to walk it alone.
