Built on Lived Experience, Not Textbooks

Community Outreach and Peer Support Services was built on a simple idea: the people best equipped to help you through a crisis are the ones who have been through it themselves. We are an Ohio-certified peer support organization serving Oak Harbor and the surrounding communities, and every member of our team holds professional certification in peer support alongside more than five years of hands-on experience in behavioral health and recovery. We exist because we saw a gap, and we decided to fill it.

A Safe Space With Clear Expectations

Everything shared with your peer supporter stays between you and your peer supporter. Confidentiality is not just a policy here, it is the foundation that makes honest conversation possible. We also ask that the individuals we work with are committed to sobriety or are willing to pursue it as part of their support journey. That is not a judgment, it is a partnership. We hold up our end, and we trust you to hold up yours.

Mentors Who Reflect Your Experience

Our team is made up of people from different backgrounds, and that is intentional. We have bilingual Spanish-speaking mentors for individuals and families who are more comfortable communicating in their first language. We have dedicated youth mentors who specialize in working with young people on their own terms. And we have licensed family and children's peer supporters who help entire households find their footing together. Whoever you are, there is someone on our team who gets it.

Always On Call

Our phone and text lines are staffed by certified peer supporters around the clock, every single day of the year. No voicemails, no callbacks.

Lived It First

Every mentor on our team holds professional certification backed by more than five years of personal experience in behavioral health and recovery.

Your Language, Your Terms

Bilingual Spanish-speaking mentors and dedicated youth specialists make sure support feels natural, not forced, no matter who you are.
