Peer support is guidance and encouragement from someone who has personally experienced mental health or substance use challenges and has received professional certification to help others through similar situations. Unlike therapy or counseling, peer support is not a clinical service. There are no diagnoses, no treatment plans, and no clinical assessments. Instead, you work with someone who understands what you are going through because they have been there themselves. Our peer supporters are certified through the Ohio Peer Supporter Certification program and bring more than five years of experience in the behavioral health field.
No. You can reach out to us at any time by phone or text, and a certified peer supporter will be the one to answer. There is no referral process, no clinical intake, and no waiting list. We will talk with you about what you are going through and help you figure out which of our services fits your situation best.
Yes. Confidentiality is the foundation of everything we do. What you share with your peer supporter stays between you and your peer supporter. We believe honest conversation is only possible when you know your privacy is protected.
You do not need to be sober to reach out to us. We do ask that the individuals we work with are either committed to sobriety or willing to pursue it as part of their support journey. This is not a judgment or a barrier to entry. It is part of the partnership we build together.
Yes. We have bilingual Spanish-speaking mentors on our team who can provide peer support, mentoring, and guidance in Spanish. If you or a family member would be more comfortable communicating in Spanish, let us know when you reach out and we will connect you with the right person.
Yes. We provide transportation assistance to and from medical appointments, behavioral health visits, and support group meetings. If getting there has been a barrier for you, let us know and we will help arrange a ride. Emergency transportation is also available for crisis situations related to mental health or substance use.
